Balancing flood management, food security and household income strategies
In a flood-prone region, the community is demonstrating ownership and taking responsibility of their area. During February 2026 alone, over 700 bamboo trees were planted along the riverbanks to help mitigate future floods. At the heart of our efforts is Climate resilience. The target is to cover 3 kilometres along the riverbank. We are collaborating with 37 families to: - Establish nursery beds as a source for vegetable seeding - This will serve as a starting point for food
