In a flood-prone region, the community is demonstrating ownership and taking responsibility of their area.

During February 2026 alone, over 700 bamboo trees were planted along the riverbanks to help mitigate future floods. At the heart of our efforts is Climate resilience.

The target is to cover 3 kilometres along the riverbank.

We are collaborating with 37 families to:

- Establish nursery beds as a source for vegetable seeding

- This will serve as a starting point for food access and family income generation.

The aim is stabilize the riverbank, reduce soil erosion, and minimize the impact of frequent floods while maintaining food security at households.

Our long-term goal is to build community resilience by safeguarding farmland, homes, and local infrastructure from flood-related damage.
