POPULATION, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT
The goal of our Population, Health and Environment program is to elevate families to be a 'model household' so they can sustain themselves and their environment.
For Budondo Intercultural Centre, being a 'model household' means that the home has a functional pit latrine, hand washing station a kitchen garden, firewood saving cook stove and that they share information and/or practices about family planning and regenerative agriculture.
We work directly with families to improve and implement water hygiene and sanitation, family planning knowledge and use along with regenerative agriculture.
We typically work with a household for three years before they become a model household and we continue to monitor their progress and provide guidance whenever it is needed.
